By Dave Fisher. Yeah, the title and cover are perhaps overselling the significance of "Scooter Joe and Kenny" -- but the pictures of Scooter Joe and Kenny, a "two-man homicide squad" who patrolled the mean streets of Bed-Stuy for decades, are brilliant.
The book's in really nice shape for a '74 paperback, too: some page toning, but the spine, while faded, is uncracked and straight. A relative rarity and a fun pick-up to round out any "history of New York policing" collection.
