By Gerold Frank. I haven't read this one and don't know what Frank's take is on Albert DeSalvo's guilt, but Frank did win an Edgar Award for best Fact Crime for this book -- his second Edgar win.
A comparative marvel of design restraint, this 1966 Book Club edition's jacket has been through it, as shown in the pics -- edgewear, a bite out of the spine at the top -- and there's some foxing to the page edges. The boards are fairly well preserved, though, and the book as a whole is straight, pages clean and tight, with deckle edges for that added vintage feel.
