By James Deakin. Millionaire Robert Greenlease's son Bobby was kidnapped by a so-called killer couple in 1953. This is one of those cases that transfixed a nation and then...disappeared, more or less. The author was better known as a political writer who wound up on Nixon's enemies list (I mean, who didn't, but still).
This hardcover first edition seems nearly untouched: mild edgewear to the top of the spine, some dust/markings to the outer page edges from storage, and yellowing to the white parts of the back cover -- but it's straight as a pin, no markings inside, and the pages are relatively untoned in the interior. A fantastic reading copy.
