By Robert Tanenbaum and Philip Rosenberg. "The true story of one of the most intense manhunts in police history...and of the young district attorney who brought a trio of cop killers to justice." The 1971 slayings led to two dramatic trials of "Herman Bell et al.," and jacket copy comparing BotA to Capote and Thompson. (Tanenbaum was deputy chief counsel in the congressional investigation into JFK's assassination; Rosenberg co-wrote a book with Sonny Grosso.)
This Book of the Month edition hardcover has seen better days, especially the jacket, which has scuffs, cracks, chips, edgewear, splits, a faded jacket spine, and visible mildew to the inside. The pages themselves also show what looks like water damage to some tops, plus a previous owner's sticker on the flyleaf and a bit of foxing to the cover. But if you need this one for research or to study late-seventies genre design, this is a decent copy.
