By Aphrodite Jones. Look, what we didn't know 25 years ago was a lot, but Jones still misgenders and dead-names Brandon Teena all over the place, while promoting the trans-panicky "sexual deception" ahead of Brandon's murder in the subtitle. That's ugly, and this book won't be for everyone as a result, but I suppose it's worthwhile as a window into how the case used to be spoken of, and what we still need to work on.
This paperback is a different edition to the other copy I (alas) have in stock, but it's in predictable shape: cracked spine, edgewear, some toning to pages. It looks like it was reissued ahead of Boys Don't Cry -- and in a hurry, as the front cover doesn't look properly centered.
