By Jay Robert Nash. I'm not sure what turned me onto true crime, but the presence of this doorstop at eye level in the den growing up was not irrelevant. Kinda dated; kinda not great writing; still a stone classic.
This is a paperback edition of the legendary free weight (heh), and it shows signs of love at a previous home: the spine, although uncracked and fairly straight, is sun-faded; the pages are toned (see pics from the Leopold/Loeb entry); there's some wear to the corners of the covers, although not as advanced as it could be. A fantastic research copy.
