By Shirley Frondorf. Everything about the cover is bonkers -- ev-er-y-thing. The knife interposed between the couple; the Belli blurb; the shiny print. In other editions, this was subtitled somewhat more helpfully -- "The True Story of a Victim on Trial" -- because per the back cover, Frondorf is trying to avenge the injustice done to Elana Steinberg in court (Steven Steinberg's attorney argued that Elana "drove her husband to murder" by being a spendthrift; even if that's true, stabbing her 26 times doesn't seem commensurate, but the defense worked).
This paperback is somewhat worn -- edgewear; a large crease across the front, and a cover repaired with packing tape; cracked spine -- but it sits quite straight, and the marketing is nuts.
