By Kathryn Casey. "Originally published as The Rapist's Wife," per a tiny note on the front cover. Not hard to figure out why that change was made; it has been hard to figure out what befell this paperback before it reached Exhibit B. As you'll see in photos, it looks like it might have gotten...run over? Caught in a laundry mangle? Plus the printing of the cover is apparently off-center.
And yet, despite some creasing to the spine and that weird bite mark to the top rear of the cover, it's a perfectly good commuter/bathtime copy, so either this is the Billy Ripken baseball card of true-crime paperbacks...or it's a "two-buck/chuck" -- you pay $2 for it, and when you're done, you chuck it in the recycling. Almost certainly that second thing, but if you end up reselling it for millions, let me know!
