Edited by Joyce G. Williams, J. Eric Smithburn, and M. Jeanne Peterson. The font and spacing make this look a little "homesewn," but the photos/graphics are quite something -- viz. the back cover -- and the opening essay about the "social environment" of the Borden murders is really good. The book also features contemporary news coverage, and trial transcripts.

This unique academic paperback presents as though it was dragged through gravel, alas -- scraped front cover and first couple of pages -- plus foxing and a sticker on the back. The spine's uncracked, though, and the book is straight, pages clean. If you're obsessed with the Borden case -- or just like coverage that spells the word "clew" -- this is a solid addition to your library.
