By Don & Susie Van Ryn and Newell, Colleen & Whitney Cerak, with Mark Tabb. From publishers of "inspirational content" Howard Books, this story -- in which a mostly-fatal car crash led to the misidentification of one young woman, and that woman's family taking care of a comatose "daughter" who was actually someone else entirely -- went by me entirely when it happened in 2006, and when the book became a nonfiction bestseller in 2008. The second daughter, her parents, and the parents of the other family are the authors, along with "go-to" "spiritual themes" author Mark Tabb.
The dust jacket has flaws -- crunched on the bottom of the spine, a split at the bottom of the back cover edge, and the back cover is a bit crumply -- but except for a previous owner's name inside the front cover, the text itself is just fine, pages clean and spine straight. A solid reading copy on a case that inspired legislation.
