By Dorothy Kilgallen. Kilgallen, in the mix on cases from Sam Sheppard to the assassination of John F. Kennedy to...Sinatra?, was one of the first 500 personages to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her true-crime writing is now highly sought-after. You have to wonder how the genre would look if she'd stayed in it longer...

This is the 1967 Book Club Edition hardcover, in okay shape -- the jacket is toned, with nicks and splits, including a bite out of the spine, as shown; leading edges also worn and split in places. Boards look pretty good. Inside, pages are toned, with some foxing to top and front edges, and water staining at the top. Slight old-book smell; I don't find it unpleasant, but YMMV.

But the pages are tight, and the book sits straight and plumb. This is, at the minute, quite a good price for this avidly collected rarity, which will be packed carefully (I strongly advise upgrading your shipping at checkout).
