By Gerold Frank. I haven't read this one and don't know what Frank's take is on Albert DeSalvo's guilt, but Frank did win an Edgar Award for best Fact Crime for this book -- his second. (Edgar, not book; he wrote a bunch.) It's also the basis for the film starring Tony Curtis.
Mid-century scaremongering cover aesthetic aside, the paperback is in the shape you'd expect for 55 years old: edgewear, a couple of nicks and creases, page toning; a couple of folded pages. But spine is uncracked, which you never see with this edition; it's a fine reading copy.
