By John Douglas & Mark Olshaker. An underrated compendium from one of the founders of the FBI profiling program -- and while Douglas's self-promotion tends to be ruthless elsewhere, it's less intrusive here. Cases include not just Jack and JonBenét but Bembenek, Black Dahlia, the Lindbergh kidnapping, the Boston Strangler, and others. I've come back to this one many times.
It looks like the previous owner may have shelved this hardcover many times: there's pretty advanced edgewear to the top of both jacket and boards (see pics). Other than that, though, shelfwear is minor, the spine is tight and straight, and the pages are clean. A fantastic reading copy of a minor classic.
