By John Dillmann. The jacket copy is not shy about fluffing the author's role in turning around a case in which protected witnesses got killed during a drug kingpin's trial.
As with the paperback edition currently in stock, someone -- someone who lives in...Smurf Village? -- may have tried to kill the book. It's a former library edition, but in addition to the library binding, stickers, and stamps from the Gadsden, AL system, there's also blue water stains, and chocolate? See pics. Not sure what happened here, but between the signs of kitchen use, the edgewear, and the tilted spine, I'm letting this one go below cost.
