By The Editors of Playboy Magazine. The back cover asserts, "No magazine has covered the word of true crime better than Playboy," and that's a big swing in a world that contains Texas Monthly, but this tome's got a shot at making good. Contents include interviews with Jimmy Hoffa and Gary Gilmore, and stories on biker wars, Gianni Versace, the Mob, Jam Master Jay, and the theft of Munch's The Scream, just for starters.

So that explains why an Indiana public library carried a skin-mag crime compilation -- but it's been withdrawn from circulation, possibly for wear, as the paperback is visibly pre-owned. Along with the library's detritus, the covers have a couple of folds, and some edge whiskering and wear; the pages inside are surprisingly clean (a fingerprint or two in the TOC), but the page edges are smudgy, and some pages have shelving folds. That said, it's seldom seen in the wild and definitely good...well, I don't want to say "bang for the buck," but here we are.
