By Ann Rule. This true story is, per the back cover, "perhaps the first true-crime book written at the victim's request" -- and one of Rule's higher-profile single-case books, about the murder of Sheila Blackthorne Bellush.
This hardcover's jacket has some rubbing and edgewear from storage, and a nick out of the top of the jacket spine, but the pages are clean, and the book sits very tight -- looks unread, though there are bookmarks of a sort inside. A nice reading copy.
