By Sarah Weinman. "Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita is one of the most beloved and notorious novels of all time. And yet, very few of its readers know that the subject of the novel was inspired by a real-life case: the 1948 abduction of eleven-year-old Sally Horner."

This hardcover took a beating during shipping -- in addition to not having a jacket, but a jacket wouldn't have done much against these bumps and creases. But if you can deal with some beaten-up boards, it's clean and neat inside, no marks or dog-ears. A fine reading copy for dust-agnostics.
