The blurb from the Baltimore Sun calls it a "fascinatingly sordid story," while also referring to "elements to satisfy any true crime fan" such as "parricide [and] incest" -- like, fine, don't put lipstick on the pig, but the verb "to satisfy" is about as appropriate as the title, which is to say: not. Not appropriate. And then there's the "sexy ex-stripper-turned-private-investigator" promised by the jacket copy. A couple of the "shocking photos!" are in fact bracing, and there's one of a guy flipping off a witness? LOTS going on here.
And the book wears some of that. This paperback has edge- and cornerwear, and a cracked spine, but the pages, content aside, are clean and firmly attached. Sits pretty straight; a fine reading copy.
