Whatever you think of the blunt-force subtitle, this hardcover is in passable shape; the jacket is quite down at heel, with wear and splits (repaired and not), but it did do its job protecting the boards, although the spine leans forward noticeably. A couple of small spots inside, but more or less clean pages, no dog-ears or writing I could see. A decent reading copy.
