By Don Reid with John Gurwell. “I Saw 189 Men Die In The Electric Chair.” Reid covered the Texas penal system for the Huntsville Item; here, he remembers the many death-penalty “ends” he witnessed, and the men who spoke to him before their final punishment.
This fairly rare first edition hardcover is in quite nice shape: the jacket has shelfwear and a couple of splits, particularly at the corners, but has done its job protecting the boards. The book sits straight and inside, the pages are clean and un-dog-eared. A very nice pickup.
