By Jason Epstein. Since the jacket is, while elegantly spare, not forthcoming on WHICH trial, allow me: it’s the Chicago 7 proceeding. Epstein, then a VP at Random House, was moved to write “An Essay on Law, Liberty and the Constitution” that became this 1970 HC.
This first printing is relatively well kept: visible shelfwear to the jacket, including a scotch-tape repair to the bottom edge of the back and rubbing to the spine. Jacket’s done its job protecting the boards, though, and inside it’s clean and neat, minimal toning, no writing or dog-ears. Somewhat rare, and a fine reading copy.
