By John Roeburt. “A lively look at the censors’ hunt for sex and sin in books, movies, TV and the theatre…from Mark Twain to Lolita.” Not entirely sure this is true crime, but the back cover’s promise of “a lively tour through the annals of the forbidden” — and the implication that art is criminalized — is close enough for me.
This 1963 PB is in pretty good shape for its age: mild edgewear; some page toning; old-book smell, a little bit, but it sits straight, pages sit snugly with no dog-ears or writing that I could see. A solid reading or research copy.
