By Peter Meyer. "The Fatal Romance of Bonnie Garland and Richard Herrin / A True Story." In which this intimate-partner slaying is blamed on the "socially and sexually permissive atmosphere" in New Haven, and on the class struggle.
Not a great choice, but the book isn’t a bad one for your budget, although it’s clearly pre-owned: edgewear; a cracked spine that leans backward a bit and is quite faded; some page toning. Pages are snug and unmarked, though; it’s a serviceable reading copy.
