By H. Ashton-Wolfe. “Crimes of Love and Hate.” A 1928 compendium from an “Interpreter at teh British Civil and Criminal Courts” and “Formerly Assistant to Dr. Bertillon in Paris.” Many of the cases are obscure to us now, but one of them is Mata Hari.
Some rubbing and bumps to the corners of this hardcover; the top hinge inside is a bit weak and starting to separate, but the pages are clean and un-dog-eared, mild toning for its age. Faint old-book smell, which actually pairs well with the vintage plate illustrations. A relative rarity and a solid reading or research copy.
