By Casey Cep. From my review: "Cep is actually keeping four stories in the air in Furious Hours: Maxwell and his diabolically clever murder schemes; the vengeance Robert Burns enacted, and how it would be adjudicated; the attorney who represented them both while trying to have a political career as a deep-South liberal; and everything that brought Harper Lee to that crossroads with them."
One of the highlights of its pub year, in my opinion, and this hardcover first edition is in nice shape -- some very mild wear to the jacket, whose edges bow out a bit from storage; otherwise near new.
