By Robert Daley. From Google Books: "In the early 1970's, the Federal Government undertook to investigate corruption penetrating the entire criminal justice system in New York City, particularly the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the Narcotics division of the NYPD. Young and enthusiastic, Detective Robert Leuci was chosen by Federal prosecutors Rudolf [sic] Giuliani, Maurice Nadjari and Tom Puccio to probe this world of corruption as an undertcover [sic] agent." The author was an NYPD deputy commissioner in charge of public affairs in the early '70s.
This hardcover is nice and straight; the jacket is a bit gnawed at the corners, there's some page toning and slight soiling to page edges. Evidence midway through the book of a previous owner marking the spot with a pen; a loose hinge, too, as shown. A fine reading copy, though.
