Compiled by United Press International and American Heritage Magazine. Introduction by Bruce Catton. Catton is mostly known as a Civil War historian but was also editor at AH, which worked with UPI to put out this 1964...scrapbook, for lack of a better word, of the days after the assassination of President Kennedy. Apparently UPI and AH collaborated with various local papers on the distribution, and this is the Miami Herald iteration.
This hardcover is not in great fettle, honestly: tanning and spots on the boards, which also look chewed and scraped in spots, and heavy tanning on the flyleaves. Less toned inside, but there is a faint old-book scent. A decent pickup for case collectors, if not very attractive.
