By Jay Robert Nash. I used my parents' copy to assassinate a water bug in the '80s and never went near their copy again; this one has had no mega-insect contact (that I can see) and all the handy crime-dictionary facts of most Nash output, but slightly easier to lift at "only" two pounds.
The dust jacket has seen better days: big tears, little tears, flakes, stickers, and a bent inside back flap. But it did its job protecting the book itself, which aside from a bumped top spine is in fine shape, mild toning, pages square and tight...so maybe you just want to chuck the jacket.
