By John Berendt. The award-winning "nonfiction novel" (per Wikipedia) garnered comparisons to Welty and Faulkner and was a Pulitzer finalist.
The book -- which is a somewhat unusual shape, taller and narrower than your garden-variety hardcover -- is in good shape; the jacket has some edgewear, as you can see in the pics, and the spine leans to the right. But the pages are clean and tight, and if you've never read this genre classic, this copy is a great one for reading.
