Edited by Marie F. Rodell (the series) and Joseph Henry Jackson (this volume); Vol. IV in the Regional Murder Series (yes, "really"). Cases include Laura D. Fair, "The Demon in the Belfry" (with a section by Anthony Boucher), the Rosetta Baker murder, and others.
This hardcover 1947 first printing is in decent shape: the jacket is a bit careworn, with splits and chips out at the corners, but a wrap is keeping it safe. Significant page toning, but no writing or dog-ears inside, sits straight. Pages are fairly snug. Faint old-book smell.
Books from these series seldom cross my desk; you could do worse than this one.
