By Paul Fischer. It's not entirely clear to me that Louis LePrince, who was about to patent the moving-picture machine before he disappeared, was the victim of foul play, but the possibility is enough to get this hardcover a spot on my shelves -- and it's new from the warehouse.
(It got a couple of dings to the jacket in transit, so I've knocked the price down.)
