Ah, yes: the eternal struggle vis-a-vis Clark as a public figure -- misogynistically hammered by the press for trivia like her hairstyle; put in an impossible position by the case, but then overconfident within it from her position of white privilege; always trying just a little too hard -- in my opinion -- to come off like a cool badass. Her "edgy" boots-and-jeans styling on the cover, case in point. I've got no kick with Clark, but even she would have to agree that the case she tried was not the case we were actually dealing with...
Anyway: the book. It's a hardcover book with some wear from storage -- a little rubbing to the jacket and a bit of creasing along the top edges; a few tiny nicks and smudges on the page edges. I think this one probably got taken down, leafed through, and put back a bunch; the spine is nice and tight, the inside pages are clean, but case fatigue likely means it was never read.
