By Fred J. Cook. "Reads like a novel," says the blurb from Mario Puzo; looks, thanks to the exclamation point, like a satire of a genre musical, but is apparently dead serious (as it were) about relating "the complete, chilling, blow-by-blow history of the notorious crime syndicate known as the Mafia." Those cover photos are a choice, too...
A couple of nicks and dings to this 50-year-old paperback, plus a whited-out previous owner's information on the flyleaf, and a cracked spine -- but that crack is very faint, and the book sits very straight, quite bright inside for its age.
