By Jack Harrison Pollack. The Sam in question is Sheppard, whose case launched a thousand The Fugitives -- and, in the case of this particular take, a TV movie starring George Peppard as Sheppard. This is the "revised and updated" edition from 1975.

If you're not too busy Googling that fine a/v product, here's the 411 on the paperback, which is a bright yellow with red-tinted pages. It's in good shape for its age; the spine is quite faded (and cracked) and there's some rubbing to the covers, as well as previous owner/shop stamps and writing on the inside of the front cover and flyleaf. Other than that, pages are clean and tight, and the book sits very square.
