By Warren B. Causey. The murders of David "Stringbean" Akeman and his wife, Estelle, were discovered the morning after Akeman had appeared on the Grand Ole Opry stage with his banjo. Causey's account of the killings and subsequent investigation is quite rare.
This copy, a first printing of the second edition, is in visibly worn but decent shape -- a cracked spine with a slight lean, mild page toning, somewhat loose hinges and some other wear (a deceased insect towards the back, as shown). Extra "protein" notwithstanding, not a bad deal for this seldom-seen story.
