By Shana Alexander. For the author, per the jacket flap, Hearst's abduction and subsequent travels through the criminal-justice system were "the story of the seventies."
The jacket on this Edgar-nominated hardcover looks like it had one too many nights at 54 -- extensive rips and cracking, tape repair, a sticker on the spine, etc. The board corners are doing okay and the pages are basically fine/clean; this is a lesser-known and -seen take on this major case, and worth a look if you don't mind a dowdy jacket.
