By Martin Tallberg. I do miss the days when genre paperbacks would just “list the ingredients,” don’t you? “Reporter Don Bolles died investigating organized crime in Arizona but the corruption that killed him goes on. Here for the first time is the true and horrifying story!” “This book was written to complete the story that Don Bolles paid for with his life.”
Not sure what this well-loved PB is paying for, but it’s got edgewear and creasing to the covers; a cracked spine that leans forward a bit and is starting to flake; and toned pages. They’re unmarked and un-dog-eared inside, though, except for a stamp from a previous shop and some little scribbles to the top of the page edges. A solid pickup of a relatively scarce story.
