By C.D.B. Bryan. "Hey, didn't we have to read a short story by that guy in high sch-" yep, same guy. (His Wikipedia page claims he's "best known" for the book we're talking about here, but I would have guessed P.S. Wilkinson.) Any road, THIS book began as a New Yorker article, and went on to become an Emmy-winning TV movie starring Carol Burnett and Ned Beatty as the parents of a man killed by the titular friendly fire in Vietnam, which the Army then covered up...and Sam Waterston as Bryan.

This later-printing 1977 PB is in pretty good shape -- cracked spine with a slight tilt; mild page toning; a couple of crunched pages. Pages are snug and clean, though; it's a good reading copy.
