By M. William Phelps. Events have overtaken this 2008 account of the Cynthia George socialite-killer case, but if you don't Google, this is probably reliably standard Phelps product: a Dateline-y case, told with gusto, decorated with an author photo of mythic self-seriousness.
The paperback isn't in great shape -- faint shelfwear; the spine has a few cracks, and it leans -- but the pages are tight, and it's a sturdy reading copy for a plane ride.
