By Rodney Castleden. A sturdy compendium from Time Warner Books in Britain that starts way back with King John and Prince Arthur; the photos aren't shocking, but are at least variations on the ones you've seen a jillion times.
The hardcover is in good shape: the jacket has some faint edgewear, a small split at the spine top, and a sticker ghost on the front; the pages are toned, with some foxing to the top edges, and one page has a storage fold. But a fine reading or research copy overall.
