By Dorothy Kilgallen. Kilgallen, in the mix on cases from Sam Sheppard to the assassination of John F. Kennedy to...Sinatra?, was one of the first 500 personages to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her true-crime writing is now highly sought-after. You have to wonder how the genre would look if she'd stayed in it longer...

This hardcover is a 1967 fourth printing, very well preserved: the jacket has some mild edgewear, and the inside front flap has a crease as shown. As well, there's a sticker ghost on the back that wraps partway around onto the spine; it's a bit hard to see but you'll definitely feel it, which is unfortunate but not fatal.

Inside, the pages are clean and fairly bright, only the faintest toning. The top edge tint is still very bright. Pages sit snugly and the book overall sits straight; hinges are still strong.

With the exception of that tapey bit on the jacket, a very handsome reading copy.
