By Patricia Cornwell. Cornwell's name is by far the largest thing on the cover of this updated edition of her...fine, I'll just say it: crackpot theory about who the Ripper really was. But this nonsense, which is written as well as her Scarpetta books (whatever that might mean to you), sold huge and is probably worth picking up for case completists.
And at this price, at least you won't feel bad about throwing the book into traffic? The paperback is somewhat worn -- edgewear, a couple small cover tears, page toning, and a cracked spine -- but it's not in delicate shape, so two-bucks-and-chuck it in the recycling when you're done.
