Edited by Marie F. Rodell (the series) and Joseph Henry Jackson (this volume); Vol. IV in the Regional Murder Series (yes, "really"). Cases include Laura D. Fair, "The Demon in the Belfry" (with a section by Anthony Boucher), the Rosetta Baker murder, and others.
This 1947 hardcover, a graduate of the Iowa State University Library system, has no jacket, and shows mild cornerwear consistent with its age; library stamps and a sleeve at the back as well (to hold your bookmark, if you like). Very little fading; boards are bright. The pages are snug and clean, very little toning given its age.
Books from these series seldom cross my desk; you could do worse than this one.
