Edited by Art Crockett. "From the files of True Detective Magazine." Melodramatic cover subhed (and artwork) aside, I do appreciate that they were distinguishing between spree and serial killers even 30 years ago.
If you would like to "read and beware" as exhorted by the flyleaf, here's what to know: the paperback is evidently previously owned -- edgewear, a few crunched pages, a cracked spine -- but sturdy and fairly square. Not a lot of these out in the wild, and it's a sight cheaper than collecting the original mags.
