By Joseph Wambaugh. Ex-cop and "master storyteller" Wambaugh takes his mastery to the UK for "the first case solved by genetic fingerprinting."
This is the Wambaugh everybody sells for some reason, and in the case of this particular hardcover, you can kind of see why: it's a library binding, with stamps and stickers thereof; the jacket inside is somewhat worn at the spine tips, plus there's a nick out of the spine; a previous owner's name is on the flyleaf; and there's a very slight twist to the spine. But the pages are clean; it's a good reading copy.
