By Gerold Frank. I haven't read this one and don't know what Frank's take is on Albert DeSalvo's guilt, but Frank did win an Edgar Award for best Fact Crime for this book -- his second. (Edgar, not book; he wrote a bunch.) It's also the basis for the film starring Tony Curtis.
Mid-century scaremongering cover aesthetic aside, the paperback is in pretty good shape for almost 60 years old: edgewear, a couple of nicks and creases, page toning; a little foxing to the insides of the covers. But the spine sits straight, page-edge tint is fairly bright. A fine reading copy.
