This probably was true when the book came out in the '90s, and this 'pedia is a more manageable size than most, making this a good rental-cottage/bathroom-book purchase. (And for once, the photos are in fact shocking.)
Some edgewear to this paperback, a cracked spine, and some page toning, but sits straight, clean pages. A fine reading copy.
