By Charles and Louise Samuels. "Being an exact and faithful account of the trial of Lizzie Borden for one of the most bloody and controversial crimes of all time -- the legendary ax murders of her father and stepmother." Nice of this 1962 paperback to write the copy for me! From the Classic Murder Trials series, it still doesn't mind calling the case "fabulous" on the back cover. Somewhat unusual in this particular edition/cover art iteration.
The wear to this one's about what you'd expect, including some gnawed bits at the top of the spine and some page toning; the hinge at the front is loose, because I think the glue's starting to go. Rest of the pages are quite firm, though, and the spine is uncracked.
