By Joseph Wambaugh. This is a fine little vintage paperback from the era of color-edge pages, before Wambaugh's classic "true story of two young cops and two young robbers" -- which the Times called "more ambitious than In Cold Blood" -- became a movie. It's the first Dell printing from 1974, not a rarity but not seen in the wild terribly often.
There's the expected shelfwear and creasing to the spine; the top front corner has a fold mark, and the spine's slightly tilted. Pages are clean and square, though; if you've never read this classic, this copy looks like a classic for sure.
