By Peter Meyer. "The Compelling True Narrative of the Fatal Romance of Bonnie Garland and Richard Herrin." In which this intimate-partner slaying is blamed on the "socially and sexually permissive atmosphere" in New Haven, and on the class struggle.
Not a great choice, and neither were some storage decisions in this first-edition hardcover’s past, as the jacket has extensive cornerwear and frankly looks like it was crumpled, then smoothed out and reapplied. Other than that, though, the book is in decent shape inside, some foxing to the page edges but no marks or dog-ears. A decent reading copy.
